Together with Circospin, we are the trendsetter in sustainability and circularity and will continue to work on this in the coming years. Together, we see many opportunities to make this happen within our industry!

You can’t open the newspaper these days or the words “Circularity” and “Sustainability” will be mentioned in one way or another. We at Eliquo Water & Energy BV, believe that it shouldn’t stop at words alone but that you just have to do! Measurable performance on these issues is what we stand for.

We work for Dutch water boards and are involved in realizing (often innovative) wastewater treatment projects. Within these projects, sustainability and circularity are keywords and a missing factor.

For example, we built a plant in Amersfoort where, by applying an innovative technology, fertilizer is made from wastewater. Another example is a recently completed project at the Leidsche Rijn treatment plant, where cellulose (paper) is recovered from the water we citizens flush down the toilet. Just a few examples where useful raw materials are recovered from a waste product.

Together with Circospin, we are the trendsetter in sustainability and circularity and will continue to work on this in the coming years. Together, we see many opportunities to make this happen within our industry!

In addition, we believe it is essential to also look at using people with a distance to the labor market. Circospin has set up a concept in which this is very concretely implemented. Together we are exploring how other companies (including Eliquo) can contribute to this and how we will formalize this in the already existing PSO (Performance Ladder Social Enterprise) certification.

We are delighted with the collaboration between Eliquo and Circospin, and are convinced that together we will start contributing concretely to further shape circularity and sustainability within our field.
